What About Mark?
Mark is a writer who lives in New York and has checked Twitter and Instagram no less than one dozen times before finishing writing this sentence.
He is a regular contributor to the comedy website Above Average, churning out such thought-provoking headlines as “What To Do When All Your Christmas Cookies Come Out Shaped Like Dicks”. His half-hour pilot script BROS was a national finalist in the NYTVF FOX pilot competition and his other pilot script, LOCAL DES MOINES FOUR, landed him meetings with a number of managers and production companies around Los Angeles. No fancy deals came out of them, but he did get some pretty sweet free Sprites along the way.
Before moving to New York, Mark lived in Los Angeles and assisted sitcom executive producer Brian Gallivan. During this time, Mark worked on two hilarious pilots for ABC and one incredibly fun season of The McCarthys on CBS. Before working for Brian, Mark was one of the most popular assistants in the comedy department at CAA and spent what little free time he had attending standup shows all over Los Angeles.
Originally from Chicago, Mark cut his comedy teeth in the sketch and improv classes of Second City and iO. Ever since he saw the Cubs win the World Series in 2016 he could get struck and killed by a bus tomorrow and be mostly okay with it.
